How to Register for Online Training

3. The Step-by-Step Process

• If You Have an Account:
  • Click “Sign-In” to access your account.
  • Forgot your password? No problem—reset it easily.
  • For any technical issues, email: customerservice@myholisticlifestyle.com.
  • Pro Tip: Save your login details for easy access!
• If You Don’t Have an Account:
  • Complete the registration form.
  • Note: This must be done by a DD Agency employer or an independent provider.
  • Ensure each student has a unique email address to access the training.
  • Key Reminder: Each learner needs their own account for seamless access.
  • After registering for an account and purchasing training, you can download the order from the dashboard after signing in, or retrieve it from the confirmation email.
• After Registration and Sign-In:
  • Explore the course calendar.
  • Purchase course tickets to reserve your seat (limited).
  • Registering online is the equivalent of completing the page 1 of the official Ohio DODD application, e-signed by the provider or independent provider. 
  • Students will complete page 2 of the application at the beginning of their training on the first day.
  • Cancellation and refund of blended learning courses must be requested 48 hours prior to the start of the course, so the vacant seat can be filled. Digital products are not refunded; such as renewal courses offered entirely online.

• After finishing the course and passing the skills check / testing, ensure certification information is updated in Ohio DODD MAIS by your RN Trainer.

6. The Role of Ohio DODD in Certification

• Ohio DODD issues certifications and renewals after the RN Trainer inputs completion data into MAIS (medication administration information system).
• It is importance to follow through on all steps, including the skills check / testing to finalize the process.

• Independent Providers are required to upload a copy of their High School Diploma so please have that ready.
• Payment for this course includes skills check / testing with our RN Trainer nurse.
• This online course is only the class portion.
• You must schedule to have the skills check with the RN Trainer nurse as part of this course.
• My Holistic Lifestyle nurses are available M-F, 8am-4pm so plan accordingly. Further instructions for that are included at the end of this course.
• After initial certification, it is important to receive IST (individual specific training) how to work with the individual you will be caring for; medication administration, health related activities, and any g/j tubes, as well as insulin. See delegation below.

Delegation:

• For certification 2 and 3, after initial training, and every renewal it is necessary to recieve nursing delegation based on the Ohio DODD rules. This also applies to emergency medications such as glucagon for low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and diastat for seizures, etc. See reference grid.

Renewal:

• You must have an active provider number to be eligible for renewal (or work for a provider).
• Renewal is required annually and can be taken up to 180 days prior to expiration.
• If certification is expired, you have up to 60 days to renew or the entire initial certification must be taken again.
• It is illegal to administer medications and perform health related activities if certification has expired.
