In-person Initial & Online Blended Learning for Renewals

Certifications:

Medication Administration

2-Day Training (14 hours) Category 1 certification allows personnel to administer oral, topical, and inhaled medications, as well as 13 health-related activities if they have been prescribed for a person.

G/J Medication Administration

4 hour training Category 2 certification allows personnel to administer medications through a Gastrostomy or Jejunostomy (G/J) tube if the DSP has been delegated to do so by a nurse. This certification is in addition to Category 1.

Insulin & Injections for Metabolic Disorders

  • 4 hour training Category 3 certification allows personnel to administer insulin and injectable treatments for metabolic glycemic disorders if the DSP has been delegated to do so by a nurse. This certification is in addition to Category 1.

Online registration ensures a seat is reserved (class size 12).

24 hour cancellation policy. Confirmation email includes location, hours, and contact information.

Optional download and print curriculum taught in the training, the official 2 page application (agency fills our page 1, student fills out page 2 in class).

Our pass rate is 97% and we offer a free retake, as well as an optional free prep course in Medical Terminology for students with a different first language.

The Elevate Office Building, 670 Meridian Way, Westerville, OH 43082, Suite 101 & 102. Class starts at 9 am, arrive early to sign in. Picture ID required.

To attend training, students must be 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass required background checks, registry checks, according to OAC 5123.

Our Medication Administration courses are taught by a Certified RN Trainer and follow Ohio DODD requirements, resulting in certification through the MAIS (medication administration information system). Please ask students not to park in visitor spaces due to long training hours.
